In Wakuwaku's Tea Ceremony plus Survival Japanese course, you will learn survival Japanese that is necessary during your stay in order to communicate well with native Japanese people and build a good relationship.

Survival Japanese for shopping, getting a discount, ordering food, asking for directions, booking a restaurant table, making phone calls, and so on, is the heart of this course. But to further your cultural experience, you have the opportunity to experience the famous Japanese Tea Ceremony and try it out for yourself. You not only learn the Japanese language but use it in a real situation to improve your skills.

In addition to Tea Ceremony, you can also sign up for other optional cultural activities such as Zazen, Calligraphy, Kimono, Soba, Sushi, and Traditional Food. There's no end to the wonderful activities to explore!

In Japan, there are several hundred Japanese schools. However, most of them focus on long-term study of a year or two for the purpose of university preparation. So, we wanted to create a comfortable, relaxed environment for you to learn Japanese. Through short-term study (three months or less) we want you to feel Japan. (For many countries, if the stay is three months or less, no visa is necessary.) Even if you are a beginner in Japanese, Wakuwaku can offer you a valuable study abroad experience. We can help you become comfortable using the language through short-term study that you know you can finish. We use English during lessons to make it easy to learn Japanese in a short period of time and we focus on practical, everyday Japanese that will help you survive daily encounters with confidence. It focuses on communication and will give you a hardy base on which to further grow your language skills. Experience communication with native speakers that not only helps you learn but also helps you own the language. In addition to Japanese language, there are many hands-on programs and events to help you get involved in and feel Japan. There is Sushi making, Zen meditation, soba making, and calligraphy. Close to our school, there is also a culture class which makes it possible to interact with people who live in the area. You’ll be able to use the language in the real world. Our school is located in Hita, a traditional city of about 70,000 full of history, nature, and kind people. There aren’t many other foreigners in the area so you can truly experience the culture first hand. We think it’s the perfect school for people who want to experience such a city.

Designed for Western Students Since we use English in our classes, it is easy to learn the language. Not only that, Wakuwaku also understands the needs of western students. But there is still plenty of opportunity to meet people from all over the world! Unique Activities Our course is designed not only to learn the language, but also to immerse you in the culture. Learning about culture is an integral part of learning any language because it helps you feel and own the language on a deeper level. You can participate in Sushi making, Zen meditation, Soba making, Calligraphy, and so on! A Great Location in the Heart of Kyushu Wakuwaku is located in the heart of Kyushu in the beautiful city of Hita.
