My wife and I spent 6 weeks in immersion classes this January and February. Our first two weeks were at ICHIL, followed by two weeks each at schools in Buenos Aires and Bariloche, Argentina. ICHIL was far and away the best experience for us. In fact, at the end of our 10 weeks in South America, we opted for another 4 days of school here rather than in the wine country of Mendoza, and we are committed to a 2014 return. Fabulous, caring, experienced teachers dedicated to student progress.

great school, where you can find a fantastic atmosphere, friendly staff always ready to help you and well-prepared teachers that proviedes you with a very good knowledge of the Spanish language. Other then learning a new language you have the opportunity to meet wonderful people and learn about the culture of various countries in the world.

This school provides a very attentive learning environment, staffed with teachers who are genuinely interested in ensuring student success. The materials have been developed by school staff and move through a logical grammatical progression. My wife and I are in our 60s and new to the language. After two weeks, we were pleased with our progress and are strongly considering returning to the school in 2014.

Don Camilo y su familia trabajan para que tengamos lo mejor de la experiencia de estudiar en otro país, de la gramatica hasta la cultura Chilena, con paseos, viajes, y los debates en las clases. My husband and I spent two weeks here and loved it. We are older learners and the staff worked hard to accommodate our learning styles. The size of our class was small with a great deal of individual attention. We plan on returning to keep our learning going. It takes special skill to teach in an immersion program and this school finds teachers with thee required skills. We made great progress in our two weeks.

I had an excellent two weeks at ICHIL. I arrived with some very basic Spanish but the course here gave me a huge boost, with a strong focus on grammar. The best thing about the school is its fantastic atmosphere and very friendly staff and teachers. There is a policy of only speaking Spanish at the school, even during breaks. This was daunting at first but is a great way to learn! After two weeks I was chatting away in Spanish with people from all over the world. I highly recommend ICHIL.

Yo soy un alumnos del ICHIL. Antes de venir a Chile, no sabia nada hablar espanol. Hace cuatro meses vivi aqui en Chile. Ahora hablo espanol no tan perfecto, pero entiendo mucho. Eso es como uno de los ejemplos de un buen resultado del buen trabajo y la gran dedicación de todos los grandes profesores ICHIL. I am writing this in English, although I could write it in Spanish. ;-) I loved my experience at ICHIL and plan on returning in September. Wow! The teachers, faculty and location are spectacular. I made many friends of all ages and even took salsa lessons. We went on many cultural excursions with the school and I am now in love with Chile. I am going to miss everyone here when I leave. the course was very thorough. this school is really good for a good foundation of Spanish. also all the teachers are extremely professional, nice and welcoming, always with patience to explain and always with a smile. i enjoy my time there and highly recommends to all.

The course I took at ICHIL as part of a university study abroad program went far beyond my expectations of a Spanish class. In the US I had taken 7 years of Spanish courses, but I feel like I learned more in two months with ICHIL than in all the previous years combined! The teachers are attentive and extremely knowledgeable, and the supplementary focus on cultural aspects was not only useful but fun. ICHIL is not only an amazing language institute, but also a caring and supportive community.

El instituto es la mejor esuela de Chile y recomendaría lo a todos que quieren mejorar o empezar (como yo) su castellano. En el instituto el ambiente es muy familiar y no se siente como estudiante. Las profesores fantasticos!! se adaptan a los necesidades de los estudiantes. Siempre las clases son una mescla de juego, de diversión, de actividades y de excursiones. Yo tenía un tiempo muy divertida y disfrutaba mucho aprender ahí!! Gracás a todos!! Abrazos!!

O intercâmbio que fiz em Santiago no Ichil foi uma das melhores experiencias da minha vida, a casa em que fiquei hospedada foi muito confortavel a familia foi muito acolhedora e simpaticos. Todos os professores de Ichil são muitos dedicados e divertidos, recomendo esta experiencia para quem quer se aprofundar no idioma espanhol e tambem conhecer varias pessoas de diferentes culturas, foi maravilhoso.

Thanks IChil for an unforgettable experience. I had fun learning Spanish in your school, and miss my daily café con leche downstairs. Ichil provides a great atmosphere for learning Spanish in Santiago, and the teachers are super helpful and supportive. I hope to visit someday soon :)

The teaching at ICHIL was top-notch. I learned a great deal from the instructors, all of whom are very nice, approachable, and eager to help students improve. Not only was the classroom instruction great, but we also had several opportunities to learn outside the classroom. The excursions, films, and learning the Cueca were fun ways to add an important cultural dimension to our learning experience. I liked ICHIL's location near the heart of downtown Santiago, and the facilities were great, too.

Even after 5 years of Spanish in high school the instruction I received at ICHIL was the most useful and enjoyable Spanish classes I have taken! The professors are accessible and easy-going and we enjoyed movies and excursions as well as instruction.

L'ambiente familiare che si trova alla ICHIL contribuisce a superare facilmente, per un principiante assoluto, il primo approccio allo studio. Gli insegnanti, oltre ad essere preparati, sono diventati subito amici con cui ho trascorso parecchio del mio tempo libero.

Estudar no Ichil foi a melhor decisão que tomei para fazer meu espanhol caminhar mais rápido. As pessoas são competentes e responsáveis com o conteúdo, mas o melhor é o calor humano e a disponibilidade de flexibilizar horários e tarefas para fazer-nos saber ainda mais. Indico fortemente uma temporada com eles!

I didn't know any spanish when I started at ICHIL. After 3 weeks I was able to speak with people on the streets of Santiago. I learned very much and had great fun with the teachers! The school is very cosy and the atmosphere is very familial. And they serve delicious coffee in the café. I can strongly recommend this place. I still have contact with people I met in the class and with the teachers.

Posto smo se moj muz i ja doselili u Cile ja sam morala da pocnem da ucim spanski i kako je ICHIL delovao naj ozbiljniji odlucila sam da se prijavim. Posle mesec dana sam mogla da se sporazumevam na spanskom i posle 3 meseca sam isla na sastanke i pricala sa klijentima bez vecih problema(naravno ne savrseno). Vec sam preporucila ICHIL mnogim prijateljima tako da i svim buducim studentima toplo preporucujem institut bez obzira da li je samo radi zabave ili zivota u Cileu!

Studied at ICHIL for about eight weeks in Jan-Feb 2011 and had a great time. The lessons are good and the teachers are genuinely interested in getting through to the student. Plus, the extra-curricular activities were a lot of fun and added an element of context and culture that a lot of other schools don't have. The folks at ICHIL didn't just try to teach, they tried to add experience as well. Avg rating for the location and facilities only because they are now different from when I was there.

Mon séjour à l'ICHIL et à Santiago a été très fructueux pour mon apprentissage de l'espagnol et très agréable pour l'expérience sociale que j'y ai vécu. Accueil très chaleureux, profs accessibles et compétents non seulement en langue mais en histoire et culture de leur pays. Mon lieu d'hébergement était un peu éloigné du centre, mais cela m'a donné l'occasion de partager un peu plus le quotidien des Santiagueños dans le métro et dans la rue aux heures de pointes.
